Dear Parents and Carers,
Thank you for the feedback I have received on last week’s newsletter with all the important information regarding Christmas. I hope you found it useful.
It has been another busy week at North Town and it was a real pleasure to go in and observe some lessons this week. Your children are an absolute credit to you, the school and themselves and it was an absolute joy to watch them enthusiastically engage with their learning. At 1:30 pm this afternoon, I received a visit from four very proud Pippins children to show off their phonics work – absolute superstars!
Two-Minute Silence
Mr Kerton and I joined classes today for a two-minute silence at 11am. I was so impressed and so proud of our children. Well done to all of our children.
Flu Immunisation
Just a reminder that the Flu Immunisation Team will be visiting North Town on Wednesday 30th November to administer the Flu vaccines to all year groups. Please remember to complete the consent via the information provided through Parentmail.
Look Who’s Talking
Huge congratulations to our two North Town finalists in representing the school and themselves brilliantly on Thursday evening at West Buckland School. Seth and Clara were absolutely brilliant and performed with so much confidence. Most importantly, they enjoyed the occasion!
World Cup Game
As you are aware, the children will have the chance to watch the first England World Cup game on Monday 21st November. If the children would like to bring in a football shirt in their school bag and wear it for the afternoon, they will be very welcome.
North Town School Wraparound Care
As you may be aware, we are looking at plans to adapt and expand the provision we are able to offer our families before and after school. To help us understand how best to plan for this, we are asking one parent/carer to complete a short survey by clicking on this link: https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=x7KbLdiLp06II9H7gVWkx9YcRRGGUCNCvaBrxL9y4PJUQk01NVI1RTFWTUlEQVg0NE5JNUtHOURZQi4u
We appreciate your support with this matter and kindly ask it is completed even if parents/carers have no intention of using the provision. It should take less than 5 minutes. The survey closes at 9:00am on Monday 21st November 2022.
Children In Need
This year, Children in Need are launching the Great SPOTacular. With loads of fun ways to fundraise and take part, every penny will help BBC Children in Need make a difference to children and young people who need it most in our community. As a school, the children and staff can come into school on Friday 18th November dressed up in spots, wearing yellow, being a super hero or wearing pyjamas. Any donations to this charity would be greatly received.
Please look at the Children in Need website for some ‘SPOTacular’ fund raising ideas.
