Dear Parents and Carers,
We have had Health Week at North Town this week and it has been brilliant to see the many visitors coming to North Town to give the children the opportunity to experience different sports! These sports have included table tennis, fencing, skipping and much more. A huge thank you to Mr Grave for making this possible.
Last week the school received confirmation that we have retained our School Games Platinum status. We are thrilled with this news and grateful to the staff for making this possible.
This week, I had seven excited year one children coming to my office to show me their amazing writing. The presentation was beautiful and the descriptive writing was incredible. A huge well done to the children.
As I type, we are preparing for the summer fete and hoping for glorious weather and a good turnout! I am really grateful to the PTA for their energy and enthusiasm in organising such events! The children and families always seem to have an enjoyable time.
Have a lovely weekend
Mr Braund
Warm Weather
At last the weather looks set to be kind to us!!! Can we please ask that the children come to school with sun lotion already applied. We also ask that they wear a named sun hat. Sadly, we do not allow sunglasses due to health and safety concerns. The children must continue to wear school uniform on non-PE days. Class teachers will ask the children to remove ties and put them in their bags if the weather is too hot.
The School House and Staplegrove Road entrance to the school
I am absolutely delighted to inform you that from September we will have new fencing at the school which will have huge impact at the school. The walk way to the school will be shortened but widened to ensure we don’t over flow into the main road. There will be a separate walkway to the Nursery which will be completely fenced off from the rest of the school. This walkway will take you around the back of the school house.
The entrance gate where Mrs Screech, Mrs Hampshire, Senior Leaders and I stand in the morning will be widened as it causes lots of hold ups in the morning.
The school house will be the new reception block for the office team. This will not be ready for the start of the school year but the aim is to have it up and running as soon as possible.
We will include a design in a future newsletter!
