Dear Parents and Carers,
Before you know it, another half term flies by! It certainly has been a busy few weeks and we are now entering the final few weeks of the academic year. Enjoy the rest of the summer term and all the events that we have planned including our summer fayre, sports days, the choir music concert at Huish, the Year 6 production and more!
Have a smashing half term break with your families and friends and fingers crossed for some glorious weather!
Best wishes,
Mr Braund
Heidi Screech
I have been extremely lucky to have worked with my brilliant deputy for the past two years and if I am honest, I hope I get to work with her at North Town for many many years ahead. Heidi has been appointed to be the Huish Director of Nurseries for three days a week and she deserves this opportunity. Heidi will remain as the deputy head at North Town for the remaining two days (Monday and Friday). Senior Leaders at the school have all have a leadership day throughout the week and we will plan to ensure they have them on the days that Heidi is focussing on her new role. Congratulations Heidi, you are a fantastic deputy head and I am delighted that you have this new opportunity and thrilled that you will continue at North Town as deputy.
Year 6 Hoodies
A huge thank you to Caroline Tidmarsh and Bex Howell for taking control of ordering the Year Six Hoodies! The Year Six children were thrilled to receive them and they can now wear them to school for the remainder of their time at North Town. The only occasions we ask to return to North Town jumpers is at the music concert and the Year Six Leavers Evening. We hope the Year Six children enjoy wearing them!
Dance for Dementia Day
North Town looked fantastic today in red and yellow! A huge well done to all the children for their efforts with their dancing and thank you to all our community for the donations to raise money for Dementia awareness.

Meetings
We have had several parents not turn up for SEND parent meetings this week. Please can we ask that if you book a meeting at the school that you take a note of the date and time, and if necessary, set yourself a reminder. Please remember that outside professionals are sometimes invited into the meetings and staff have to rearrange their time and seek cover.
If you are not going to be able to attend, please contact the school office as soon as possible.
JW Tennis
Please take a look at some brilliant tennis opportunities coming up this summer at Elm Lawn Tennis Club with Julie Williams in Taunton. All information can be found on their website www.jwtennis.com
