8th December 2023

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a truly festive and magical week it has been at North Town with 6 wonderful Christmas performances from our Pippins, Year One and Year Two children. They all performed brilliantly with much confidence, enjoyment and enthusiasm. Well done and thank you to the staff team for making this possible. A huge thank you to the many parents and carers for your lovely feedback! We are extremely proud of the children and what they achieved. Thank you for the kind donations. This money will be given to each year group to buy additional resources.

A personal message of thanks from Mr Braund

I just wanted to write to thank you all and the North Town staff and children for your kindness and support in what has been a really worrying time for my family. We are truly thankful and appreciative of your kind words and compassion and are so relieved to have Coco Braund back with us after her ten day adventure. We still cannot believe how lucky we are to have her back.

We are very aware that the whole of the Taunton community and the Lost Dog charity have looked after us. The kindness shown to my family helped in our quest to find her. We will forever be grateful.

Coco is really well and although she has lost a little weight, we know the many treats we are feeding her will help greatly. She was 3 on Tuesday and enjoyed some extra treats! If only Coco could tell us where she has been on her adventure.

Thank you to you all.

Love and best wishes,

Mark, Chloe, Gracie, James and Coco Braund

Christmas Fayre

What a wonderful Christmas Fayre at North Town. We could not believe the turn-out! It was amazing. Thank you to our PTA for all the planning and preparation! The school choir performed brilliantly and the atmosphere around the school was so festive. The PTA excitedly communicated to the team that we raised £1700 during the evening and this doesn’t include the raffle. The money raised will help greatly with purchasing resources for the school that will positively impact on the children.

Parent Information Box 🎄

In the box this week is some information about managing children’s behaviour over the Christmas Holidays, using the Emotion Coaching methods. Emotion Coaching helps you and your child to stay calmer, and strengthens relationships. The Parent Information Box can be found on the wall outside the main School Office.

Please help yourself.🎅

Lost property

All lost property will be out on the playground outside the office next week.  Any unclaimed items will be given to charity or disposed of at the end of the week.

Please can we remind you to name all of your child’s uniform and belongings.

Christmas Fair School Uniform Requests

All uniform requests from the Christmas Fair that we are able to supply, have been sent home. Apologies that we have not been able to help with all requests.

Parents are welcome to attend the service, there will be a short Christmas performance from selected children from key stage 2, if you are unsure if your child is involved, please speak with your child’s class teacher.  The service will last approximately 1 hour with songs performed from all of the children in Key stage 2.
