Coffee and Chat Mornings
Our first coffee and chat morning of the New Year will be next Wednesday from 9:00 am until 10:00 am.
Second Hand Uniform will be available on the final coffee morning of this half term, Wednesday 8th February 2023
Starting Primary School – September 2023 – deadline for applications
If you have a child who is due to start primary school in September 2023, the deadline to apply for a place is 15th January 2023. If you have not already applied, please remember to apply before this date. More information can be found here:

Phonics Clinics
Mrs. Richards will be running a RWI Phonics Drop in Clinic after school every Monday (From Monday 9th January) in New Rock Pippins classroom. From 3.20pm – 3.50pm . The door will be open to answer any questions you may have about your child’s phonics group, phonics assessment, what they need to work on or how you can support at home. This applies to the whole of Early Years (Reception and Years One and Two) and some of our older children.
Clothing
Please could we remind you to send your child/children in with weather appropriate clothing, ie: a waterproof coat if it is raining or a warm coat if it is due to be cold.
Vocabulary Day
On Thursday 12th January, we will be taking part in Vocabulary Day. This will be a day to immerse children in the wonderful world of words! Alongside the other Richard Huish Primary Schools, we will be inviting the children and staff to dress up as a word (a verb or adjective in particular) such as spotty, starry, mischievous, sprint, illuminate, festive or even ridiculous!
