Dear Parents and Carers,
It has been wonderful to welcome many of our EYFS and Year One parents and carers to North Town this week to observe a phonics lesson. The children and staff were really excited with the number of parents that joined us throughout the week and your kind feedback has been greatly appreciated.
I was really delighted to hear such positive feedback from a parent at North Town who kindly supported with the Huish sports event last week. She commented on the excellent behaviour and polite manners from all of the children. It was really lovely to hear and much appreciated.
Acts of kindness around the school is something that I am always observing and something that we always pick up on when children are kind and thoughtful. It always pleases me when I see children do things without being asked such as picking up litter off the floor (even if it wasn’t their litter), holding doors open for others and the response that they get, offering to help staff if there is a job required, helping a child on the playground if they have fallen over and much more. Well done to the children and keep it up.

Parent Evenings and SEND Parent Meetings
Parent Evening and SEND Parent Meeting bookings will be open at 6:00pm on Monday 2nd February 2026.
If you would like to book a slot, please do so on the MCAS app under Parent Evenings.
You will have received an email if you are invited to book a SEND parent meeting this time. These parents can choose to book either a SEND meeting or a parent evening slot.
Please only book one slot.
It is your responsibility to remember what slot you have booked and to let the school office know if you are no longer able to attend.

Mufti Number Day
Friday 6th February will be NSPCC Number Day! Please can the children come to school wearing numbers on them as part of their mufti! Over the years we’ve had many creative costumes too so they would also be great to see! We are asking for a £1 donation per child for the NSPCC.

This is a reminder that mobile phones are not allowed to be used on school premises. Please keep your devices away until you leave the site.
