Dear Parents and Carers,
North Town is looking festive in readiness for the final two weeks of the autumn term. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you all to the Christmas Fayre at 3:30pm today! A huge thank you to the PTA and the staff team for all their efforts in making this possible. The choir will be performing and if (as predicted) the weather is poor, they will be performing in Mrs Purchase’s classroom. Thank you as ever for the support you give to such events. All funds that are raised go straight back to the school to help with purchasing much needed resources.

Tuesday 9th December – Year Two Christmas Show
There will be two performances – 9:40am (gates open at 9:30am) and 2:10pm (gates open at 2:00pm). Letters have been sent out for parents and carers to request a maximum of 4 tickets. Please note that we do not allow parents and carers to take photos or videos at these events for safeguarding reasons. Staff will take some photos and post them on Class Dojo.

Friday 12th December – Christmas Jumper Day for ‘Save the Children.’
The children will be invited to wear a Christmas jumper with their school uniform in exchange for a monetary donation for ‘Save the Children.’
Friday 12th December – Nursery Christmas Sing Along
Performance 2.30pm – 3.15pm, there will be a maximum of 2 family members per child able to come and watch, please speak to the nursery to collect your tickets.
Thursday 18th December – KS2 Christmas Service
The Christmas service will be held at St James Church at 10am on Thursday 18th December. Parents are welcome to attend the service. The service will last approximately 40 minutes with songs performed from all of the children in Key stage 2. More details to follow.
Thursday 18th December – Class Christmas Parties (pm)
Children bring in a change of clothes for the afternoon parties.
Friday 19th December – School Closed for INSET Day
Christmas Sparkle Project
I wanted to thank you for all the fabulous gifts that have been given to our school collection for Sparklebox. We have passed 7 sacks of gifts on to them for wrapping and distribution to local families. Please know that you have brought joy to a child at Christmas. Thank you.
Last day for donations is Weds 10th December.

Readathon
A massive well done to all the children who took part in the North Town readathon. As a school, we managed to read over 500 hours, with some children reading over 1,000 minutes individually. The amazing efforts have meant that we have raised over £1400 that we can spend on North Town and new books for our school library. Winners will be announced in the upcoming weeks. Thank you again for all your support.
