5th September 2025
Dear Parents and Carers,
It was absolutely brilliant to see you and the children on Wednesday. They were very smiley and clearly excited to be back at School. It has been wonderful hearing about the many adventures the children have been on during the summer.
Thank you for the kind comments about the premises changes during the summer. We are thrilled with the many projects at the school these past years including the library intervention rooms, the expansion of the Wraparound Room, the improvements in the nursery, the changes to the front of the school and much more. The new astro area around the side of the school has made a huge difference and the year six children have been challenging themselves to do ‘seated wall squats’ in this area. Well done to Kodie who challenged a very confident headteacher to see who could last the longest and she beat him convincingly!
I have already seen some super work throughout the school these past days. A huge well done to Imran in Year 6 who made it to the finals of The London Spelling Bee Championships 2025 and came second! What a wonderful achievement.
Thank you all for your support with the slight change to the school day with the children needing to be in class for 8:45am. This decision enables lessons to start promptly at 8:50am.
Thank you as well for supporting with not using mobile phones when on the school premises.
Have a smashing weekend everyone.
Best wishes,
Mr Braund

Sadly, he will no longer be based at North Town but will visit on a regular basis. Huge congratulations to Paul as he deserves this opportunity. He will be missed greatly at the school. School Games Mark
I was absolutely delighted to receive the following email from Jane Clark (School Games Organiser) regarding the school games award.
I wanted to take a moment to congratulate all the schools who achieved their School Games Mark at the end of last term. This award is a quality assurance mark that demonstrates that a school is creating an active culture both in and out of the curriculum, is inclusive in their provision and that provision is based around positive physical activity experiences and developing a child’s physical literacy. Staff will all be well trained and confident in delivering physical activity and wider partners of the school and its community will be aware of all these factors.
This is not an easy award to obtain, so a huge amount of credit goes to the PE coordinators that managed to complete the application and win their school an award that can be displayed with pride!
A final mention goes to North Town School who have been awarded the Platinum award for the second year running!
Best wishes,
Jane Clark
A huge well done to Mr Grave for how he drives PE and Sport at North Town – a fabulous achievement!
