Friday  18TH  July

Dear Parents and Carers,

Wednesday evening was an evening of singing, dancing and outstanding performing as our Year Six children performed their production on the stage at Richard Huish College. It was a truly brilliant evening with the children giving everything! They performed with much energy and confidence and had a wonderful time. Thank you to the year six parents and carers for helping to make this the night that it was with the cheers and applause and the standing ovation at the end! Well done to our super sixes and the staff for all their efforts in making this possible.

This evening we are saying goodbye to our Year Six children at a leavers event. They have been a truly brilliant group of children and we are all really proud of what they have achieved during their time at the school. They are all ready to move on but they will be missed greatly and we wish them all much happiness and success for the future.

We will also be saying goodbye to other children throughout the school and wish them all the best for the future.

You will see a few reminders in this newsletter in readiness for September and also all the key dates for the autumn term.

Best wishes,

Mark Braund

Nursery of the Year 2025

Yesterday, Kirstie, Becks, Heidi, and Leann attended the 2025 Innovation and Excellence Awards, where our nursery was proudly named the winner of the ‘Nursery of the Year’ award.

Congratulations to the entire nursery team on this well-deserved recognition of your outstanding dedication and excellence.

Lost Property and donating uniform

Please check our lost property for any missing items. This is outside the office in the white unit or will be put on the picnic table in the playground.

Any unclaimed lost property will be given to charity after school on Tuesday.

If you have any outgrown uniform or PE kit please consider donating it back to the school. We are in particular need of bigger sizes (year 5/6).

Water Safety

Water is very tempting to children and adults alike – especially on these hot summer days. But all water can be dangerous – rivers, reservoirs and canals are rarely above 10 degrees temperature and can have hidden dangers like debris, strong currents and weed that can endanger swimmers.

It is important to teach children about the dangers of water – the link below will give some useful information/ideas to help.

Have fun and stay safe.
