Welcome back! I hope you all have had a wonderful summer with your families and friends. The weather has certainly been kind to us these past weeks!
We are very much looking forward to opening the gates to North Town again on Wednesday 3rd September.
It has been another summer of developments at North Town with work starting on the school house and changes to parts of the playground. We are really pleased with the changes that have happened these past years and are excited for when the current projects are completed.
We will see you on Wednesday (but not children in Pippins.)

Start to the School Day
From Wednesday 3rd September Senior Leaders will continue to open the gates at 8:40am but we would like all children into class by 8:45am so that they are registered in readiness for their first lesson to start at 8:50am. SLT will continue to be on the gate until 8:50pm as we recognise that we need to be there to see parents and carers off the premises. Please note that children will be marked as late after 8:45am.
Mobile Phones
From Wednesday 3rd September North Town Primary School will no longer allow use of mobile phones when parents are dropping off or picking up. Please can all parents and carers ensure that phones are in bags or pockets as soon as you come onto the premises.
Label Everything
Please can we politely remind all parents and carers to label all clothing items, lunch boxes and water bottles to ensure that when items go missing that we have an excellent chance of returning them.
PE Timetable for the Autumn Term
Starting from Monday 8th September, children will continue to come into school wearing their PE kit on their PE days. Please see the days for each year group below.

Secondary School Applications for children starting secondary school in September 2026
Just a reminder of children starting in Year Six to expect an email in early September from admissions to apply for your child’s secondary school place. The applications will need to be completed and submitted by 31/10/25.
Year 5 and 6 children walking home
If any parents and carers of children in Years 5 and 6 are wanting to give permission for their child to walk home independently, please can you approve this on ‘parental consents’ on the MCAS app.

Medicines, Health Conditions and Dietary Needs
It is your responsibility to inform the school of any health conditions, dietary needs and medicines that your child has. Please remember to bring medicines to the office on Wednesday with a new filled in medicine form.
