Friday 14th November

Dear Parents and Carers,

We completed our autumn term parents evenings on Tuesday. It was super to see so many parents and carers attending the evenings these past two weeks and I cannot thank you enough for your kind comments and feedback. I very much appreciate how you all work with us at the school to support the children.

We had our second open morning of the year yesterday for parents and carers that have children starting primary school in September 2026. Our Year Six children were out watching a performance of the Lion King and so we had Seth, Leyla, Alfie, Beyya, Jack and Alina from Year Five joining members of the senior leadership team giving a tour of the school and answering questions about the North Town experience. The children were outstanding and spoke so confidently and positively about coming to school. We were really delighted with the feedback.

Thank you your kind donations of chocolate last Friday for our Christmas Fayre ‘Chocolate Tombola’ and your donations this week for Children in Need. We very much appreciate your generosity.

This week I was visited by Eesaa in Year Four to show me his handwriting and presentation. I was absolutely blown away by how neat his fantastic handwriting. Well done Eesaa!  Please see his handwriting below.

Have a smashing weekend.

Best wishes,

Mr Braund

Christmas Sparkle Gift Collection

We have had an amazing response to our request for donations to the Christmas Sparkle Project. We will continue to collect each week until mid-December – if you are able to purchase a small gift to donate, the box will be outside the front Office. Thank you so much for your generous gifts already donated – they will make such a difference to struggling families across the Taunton area, helping them to have a happier Christmas experience.

Items from Home

We’ve noticed a few issues recently with children bringing in personal items from home, which have then gone missing. We’d like to remind everyone that children should not bring toys, accessories, or other personal belongings into school unless they are specifically asked to for a lesson or activity.

We have had incidents of some of these items going missing. We are addressing this in school and would appreciate your support by ensuring such items are not being brought in and by checking your child’s bag at the end of the day to ensure only appropriate school items are being brought in and taken home.

Please could we ask that you check your child’s bag at the end of the day to ensure only appropriate school items are being brought in and taken home.

Thank you for your support and understanding.

PTA

There is a PTA meeting on Tuesday 25th November 2025 at 7:00pm at the Coal Orchard. All are welcome to join.
