Thank you for the mountains of chocolate you have kindly sent in today in readiness for the Christmas Fayre! Mrs Screech and I have both offered to store the chocolate in our offices – but the PTA have thought of a safer space! 😊
It was wonderful to see so many parents and carers at our parents evening on Wednesday! A huge thank you to you all for how you work with us at North Town.
This newsletter will contain a reminder of all our Christmas events!
Acts of Kindness
A day doesn’t go by at North Town where staff and I witness many acts of kindness. We like to pick children up on this and praise them/thank them for it. This also extends to parents, carers and the community – Members of the senior leadership team love welcoming the community into school every morning and we very much appreciate your kindness and support. There are so many conversations with the community about wanting to support the school in different ways – you are very much appreciated.
Please can I ask that all children bring a coat (with name in) to school during the autumn and spring terms. We do want to make sure we can let the children out to play in the winter months but do need them to be suitably dressed.
Next Friday (10th November) is our first DISCO of the academic year. Please look out for the ParentMail with timings etc. This is always a popular event and I very much appreciate the support from the PTA, staff and parent volunteers to ensure that we can run such events.
Medical and dietary information
Please remember that it is your responsibility to keep the school up to date with your child’s medical and dietary needs.
Starting School Applications
If you have a child that is due to start school in September 2024 you will need to apply online by 15 January 2024. Please follow the link below which will take to directly to the Somerset website for guidance in Primary school applications.
Once again, North Town School is supporting the Christmas Sparkle Charity by collecting donations of new gifts. If you are able, please help by purchasing and donating a gift suitable for a child/young person aged 0-18yrs. We have supported this Charity for several years now, and they are always amazed by the generosity shown by parents at our school. Thank you for your support. Our Christmas Sparkle donation box is in the main Reception area. All gifts should be new, and NOT wrapped. If you would prefer to give a cash donation, please leave your preferred amount at the school office – this will be used by the Charity to purchase further gifts/wrapping paper etc.
