Dear Parents and Carers,
What a week of sports events at North Town. The week started with the Key Stage Two Sports Day at Taunton School. What an event! The weather ended up being kind to us and the children absolutely shone in their efforts and their sporting behaviour. Thank you to Mr Grave for the hours he spent organising the event and the time he spent preparing the children for the different races. A huge thank you to Liam Screech for his efforts in making sure the tracks and grounds were ready to host us. The attendance from parents and carers was phenomenal and the many comments at the end was very much appreciated. Thank you to the parents who supported with walking the children to Taunton School. It was a fantastic morning with everyone entering into the spirit of the occasion.
The rest of the week had us hosting our Key Stage One year groups with their sports events at North Town. Again, we were thrilled with the turnout from parents and carers and appreciate the planning that went into giving the children these opportunities. The feedback from parents was really kind and positive. We received many comments about our Year Six children and how they supported the KS1 children with the events. One parent said that the children that helped are future teachers! Wonderful news and feedback!
I’m sure Sunday evening will see many children wanting to stay up to watch the Euros final and rightly so. Fingers crossed for an exciting game. Pleased be assured that we will have everything covered for tired children when we open the gates 8:40am.
Have a lovely weekend
Mr Braund
Reports
The end of year reports will be emailed to all parents and carers today.
PTA Disco
Last Friday saw us host our final disco of the year and it certainly was another great evening. I stand in absolute awe at how the children dance the evening away and sing along to so many classics! Over £750 was raised! Thank you to our PTA and to all the staff and volunteers for making such events possible.
Lost Property
Our lost property boxes are overflowing again. Anything not claimed before the end of term will be donated to charity.
Spare uniform needed
We are in need of any larger sized uniform. If your child is leaving year 5 or 6 please think about donating any unwanted, good condition uniform to the school.
Dance for Dementia
We raised £318.20. Thank you for all your donations.
