A very warm welcome to our class, Court Royal!

In our bright and friendly classroom, we embark on an exciting learning journey filled with creativity, curiosity, and fun. In Year 1, we learn through engaging activities, hands-on projects, and interactive play. We love to explore the subjects of the curriculum with a practical approach – learning by doing and discovering!

Our goal is to create a nurturing and engaging environment where every child can thrive, learn and grow. Our classroom is a safe and encouraging space where each child is valued, making learning an exciting adventure filled with discovery and imagination. With plenty of laughter, teamwork, and a sprinkle of magic, Year 1 is a place where little minds can develop!

This year, we will be building on the foundations for reading and writing through phonics, helping our young learners to decode words with confidence while sharpening their comprehension skills. We will be developing a deeper understanding of number skills, ensuring that the children feel at ease with basic mathematical concepts. Our project topics will help us broaden our vocabulary and develop new interests. We will have lots of fun while enriching our understanding and sparking our curiosity.
